If you have dry skin, the skin peel procedure should be done very carefully to not to irritate the skin. The correct peel treatment can help you gently remove the dry dead cells from your face and body and make your skin feel and look better.
When your skin is dry, dead cells very quickly accumulate on it’s surface and you may think it needs more often peel treatments, but it can be too irritative. Moreover the dry skin needs more gentle skin peel and intensive moisturizer.
It’s better to use peels 1-2 times per week and always use sunblock afterwards. It will help to peel off the dry cells layer from the surface of the skin and make it healthier. Accumulation of dry cells on the epidermis is usually appears when it doesn’t get enough moisture. In this case dry skin becomes dull, rough and flaking which can lead to the pores clogging and further formation of acne and inflammations.
The accumulation of dead cells on the surface of dry skin can also partially block the processes of skin breathing and moisturizing. It also makes cosmetics less effective because it doesn’t reach the live and healthy layer.
For the facial peel treatment you can use different types of gentle peels like crèmes and lotions. The most suitable for the dry skin are the products which contain fruit acids and enzyme peels because these products remove dead cells from the epidermis without rubbing it and irritating it too much.
Some skin peels can also contain abrasive components, but they can be to harsh for dry skin. Always make sure the abrasive particles in your scrub are round and don’t scratch the skin. Using such mechanical peels you should always apply it to the clean wet face or body with a very gentle circular motion and avoid areas with a sensitive skin.
After the peel procedure, rinse it and apply a good moisturizer and a sunscreen.
Always try not to over exfoliate because it can cause it to dry more or get irritated.
