Skin peels for acne-prone skin

Skin peels for acneic skin:

In acne-prone skin dead cells and oil stuck to the skin surface and within the follicle and clog pores. It causes formation of blackheads and further inflamed blemishes. Regular exfoliation can help to clean out clogged pores and avoid these problems.

If you have acne, you should be very careful with peeling procedures. Always avoid mechanical exfoliators which contain abrasive particles and can cause further irritation of acne on the skin.

For this type of skin the most suited are BHA containing products, usually these skin peels are very effective to treat the skin with acne and blackheads, it’s better to use products which contain salicylic acid. Salicylic acid helps to unclog pores and kill the bacteria and thus treats the skin. Even within oil-rich pores it can be dissolved in oil and can flake oily skin areas. Consequently, it has a salubrious effect on acne, pigment disturbances, and sun damaged skin. There is also well-known that most patients who have BHA peels regularly are satisfied with how salicylic acid removes acne, comedos and whiteheads, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, and improves blemished and unevenly toned skin.

Enzyme peels which work by dissolving dead cells layer without friction and AHA skin peels which act by loosening and detaching the dead cells also don’t scratch the skin and can be used to treat acneic skin. It’s also possible to use a combination of different peeling agents.

Skin peel procedure should be done once a week or twice a week if your skin doesn’t get too irritated after the procedure.

Do not overdo with exfoliation because it can make your skin more oily and cause more acne.

After exfoliating use an antibacterial lotion, moisturizer and sunscreen.
